China
Very briefly, China is enormous. The people can be really fun, but others really rude, the food is great (when you order the right stuff).

Some places are beautiful beyond belief, others are so bad you would not want to send your worst enemy there. Tricky thing is, until you get there you just don't know.

We're 2 weeks into our tour, we've visited Pandas in an incredibly well run research centre, we've cruised the yangze aboard a dilapidated ship fit for the scrap yard and visited the great wall and the terracotta warriors. We've eaten food hot enough to strip the enamel from your teeth and feasted on dumplings and noodles for breakfast , lunch and dinner.

Further update to follow. Next part of the trip takes us from Beijing toward Shanghai, via the yellow mountains (famed for the scenery in crouching tiger / hidden dragon).
